Peter Melsheimer, 43, of S Spring Street, Port Washington, died April 19, 2003 in a train accident in the Town of Port Washington.

Peter was born August 19, 1959 to Raymond and Gale Ingersoll Melsheimer in Port Washington, Wisconsin.  He was a life long resident and worked at Carlson Tool in Cedarburg for 26 years in the Boring Shop.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was and avid hunter and fisher.  Mr. Melsheimer also loved riding and fixing Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

He is survived by his son Joshua (fiance Amy Poniewaz) Melsheimer of Cedarburg, special friend Sue Poull of Port Washington and her children Jason and Darcy Kitzman and Joshua Poull, his parents Gale (Fritz) Philipps of Port Washington and Ray Melsheimer of Chiefland, FL.  He is further survived by brothers Casey (Jean) Melsheimer of Milwaukee and Ben (fiance Kelly Schwing) Melsheimer of Belgium, sister Susan  Kennedy of Clearwater, FL, step-sisters Cheryl Philipps of Port Washington and Michelle Hall of San Jose, CA, grandmother Lydia Ingersoll of Port Washington, many other relatives and dear friends.  Peter is preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Ingersoll and grandmother Rose Melsheimer.

Memorial funeral services will be held 7 PM Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the Poole Funeral Home.  Pastor Mark Voll of Friedens Ev. Church, will officiate.  Friends may call after 4 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials appreciated.
