Thomas M. Maley, 79, of Spring Street in Belgium, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Horizon Hospice Inpatient Unit at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon, Wisconsin.
He was born October 7, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Lucille Bruxer Maley. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On December 13, 1975 he married Patricia “Pat” Mertens of Milwaukee in Port Washington, Wisconsin. They moved to Port Washington from Milwaukee in the mid 1970’s.
Tom worked as a Union Electrician before working for the Gimbels Store as an electrician. He stayed with the store as they changed to Marshall Fields, Dayton Hudson and Target through mergers and sales. He retired in 1994 and moved to Belgium in 2000. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local 494 in Milwaukee, loved golf, bowling and his Chicago Bears and Cubs. He was a proud family man and took great joy in his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Pat of Belgium, Children Colleen (Patrick) Jentges of Waubeka, Michael Maley of Milwaukee, Brian Maley of Wabasha, MN, Lynn (Randy) DeHate of Pinchney, MI, Beth Ann (Peter) Schultz of Port Washington, Daniel (Shawna) Maley of San Antonia, TX, Kevin Wolfgram of Santa Monica, CA, Gary Wolfgram of Port Washington, Shannon (Curt) Shaurette of Port Washington and Timothy (Vicky Stathos) Maley of Jacksonville, FL. Further survived by 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, brothers Austin (Jean) Maley of Roswell, NM and Larry Maley of Medina, OH, sisters Patricia (the late Herb) Conheady of Rochester, NY, Geraldine Roman of Spring Valley, IL, Margaret (Bill) Nolan of Spencerport, NY and Kathleen (Jim) Walsh of Rochester, NY, other relatives and friends. Preceded by his brother Joseph Maley and son Dale Wolfgram.
The Rev. Thomas Lijewski will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial 4 pm Monday, March 14, 2011 at St. Peter’s of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1802 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington. Visitation 2-4 pm Monday AT CHURCH. Memorials to St. Mary’s Parish, American Cancer Society or Horizon Hospice appreciated. Special thank you to Drs.
