Lundquist, John

John H. Lundquist, 83, of Chiswell Street, Saukville, WI; formerly of Port Edwards, WI died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Ellen’s Home in Port Washington where he had been a resident since August of 2010.

He was born of January 30, 1928 in Port Edwards, WI to John S. and Lillie Osberg Lundquist.  During World War Two he served in the U.S. Army in Japan from April 1946 to April, 1947.  In April, 1949 he married Theone Mellenthin of Spencer, WI in Port Edwards.

Over the years he was a salesman for a number a paper making companies.  For a few years he lived near Pembine, WI.  In 2005 he moved to Ozaukee County.  He was a maintenance engineer for Holiday Inn.

He was proud of his Swedish heritage and his beagles, who he all named ‘Ben’.  He was a self-taught electronic wiz, working on computers in their infancy.  He could build and fix almost anything.  He loved time spent on his ham radio and was past-president of the Ozaukee Ham Radio Club.

He is survived by his daughters Linda (Jeff) Rozek of Saukville, WI and Jacki (John) Schilberg of Edmunds, OK; spouse Theone Lundquist of Saukville, grandchildren Rebecca (Li Jiang) Rozek, Gale (Russell) Carter and Linda Schilberg; sister-in-law Lois Lundquist of Bow, WA, other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his son Michael Lundquist and his brother Richard Lundquist.

Family services were held. Final interment will be at Village of Port Edwards Cemetery.
