LautersRitaRita M. Lauters, 85, of N Holden Street in Port Washington died Thursday, Morning May 6, 2010 at Cedar Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. She was born November 14, 1924 in the town of Port Washington, Wisconsin to Frank D. and Lillian Wester Lanser.  She married Raymond D. "Ray" Lauters of Fredonia, Wisconsin on July 28, 1945 at Holy Cross Church in the town of Belgium, Wisconsin.  She took care of her family and worked as a waitress for the former Smith Bros. Restaurant in Port Washington for 28 years.  She was a member of the St. Mary's Christian Women, DIsabled AMerican Veterans Auxillary and Prisoner of War National Auxillary.  She was a great cook and enjoyed sewing for her self and others, playing dominos and cards and going on gambling junkets with friends. Her husband Ray preceded her in death April 16, 2001. Rita is survived by her children Gerald (Karen) Lauters of Stevens Point and Bonnie (Jim) Schultz of West Bend.  Further survived by grandchildren Dustin (Lisa) Fahney, Laura (Mike) Brahmstedt, Becky Lauters, Stephanie (Chris) Jacoby, Courtney Schultz and Benjamin Schultz, great grandchildren Breanna and Grace Brahmstedt, Zachary and Madelyn Jacoby, brother Rev. Jerome Lanser of Milwaukee, sisters Alice (Gene) Birenbaum, Geraldine (Clem) Bichler both of Belgium and Sr. Martha Lanser of Milwaukee, sister-in-law Mary Ann Lanser of Port Washington, other relatives and friends.  Preceded by sisters Marjorie Lanser, Armella Lorge, Angeline Jacoby and Barbara Becker, and brothers Edmund, Ambrose and Norbert Lanser. Rev. Tom Lijewski will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial 6:30 pm Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N Wisconsin Street, Port Washington.  Interment Southeastern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, Wisconsin.  Visitation 4 - 6:30 pm Monday AT CHURCH with a 4 pm Rosary.  Memorials to St. Mary's Parish or Brother Booker's House of Peace in Milwaukee.
