KristKarenKaren A. Krist chose to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, April 26, 2015. Her husband, Mark, daughters Marta (fiancé Rob) and Caitlin, wish to honor the workers at St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison for their tender devotion the past months.

She was born July 21, 1950 in Port Washington to Albert and Helen (Bichler) Pujanauski who preceded her in eternal life along with her brother George (Sue). Her passing is celebrated by her sister MaryRuth, Brothers John, Phil, David, Tom (Cathy), Bill along with nieces and nephews, Sister in-law Karin Hanson and nephew Chris (Louise) and mother in law Ruth Krist.

She was united in marriage to Mark F. Krist on January 22, 1977 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington.  She taught for many years at St. Mary’s Parochial School in Port Washington.  All who knew her were blessed with her gifts of friendship, wisdom, wit, joy, and patience. Karen’s abilities in art were wondrously varied and her skills in the kitchen were exquisite.

Her wish for all is printed below;

Prepare yourself you know it’s a must
Gotta have a friend in Jesus
So you know that when you die
He’s gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky
That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
I’m gonna go to the place that’s the best.
