Mildred M. Klopp, age 90, of Port Washington, WI, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Port Haven where she had resided the past few years.

She was born in Milwaukee on July 6, 1926; daughter of William and Selma Noah Hollmann.  She grew up in the town of Grafton on the family farm.

On October 1, 1949, Mildred married Wilbert Klopp of Port Washington at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington.  Over the years they lived in Port Washington raising their family and in various Wisconsin cities; even moving to South Carolina for a while.  Wilbert preceded her in death on November 9, 1998. She returned to Port Washington the following year living at the Maple Crest Apartments.

She was a homemaker that enjoyed sewing and quilting. Mildred was a clerk at the former Port Dry Cleaners, active in the church choir and loved to read.

She is survived by her children Dennis (the late Susan Kenny) Klopp of the town of Port Washington, Jeffrey Klopp of Port Washington, Barbara (Vince) Thill of Random Lake, Kenneth (Jean) Klopp of Fredrichsburg, VA, Randy (Lori) Klopp of Pickerington, OH, Robert (Julie) Klopp of Ravenel, SC and Kevin Klopp of Port Washington; nine grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, her brother Harvey (Lillian) Hollmann of West Bend, sister-in-law Edith Hollmann of Greenfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, her brothers Harold, Lawrence (Grace), Clarence and Erwin (the late Dorothy) Hollmann.

Memorial Funeral services will be held at 6PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at the POOLE FUNERAL HOME/Crematory, 203 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI 53074.  Reverend Robert Zick of St. John’s Lutheran church of Fredonia will officiate.  Family will receive friends from 4-6PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
