HolzRosalieBRosalie Holz, 86, of the Maple Crest      Apartments, Port Washington went to meet Jesus on His most triumphant day, Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 and reunited with her precious husband Melvin, whom she missed dearly . She had been a resident at Cedar Lake Health Center in West Bend,  Wisconsin for the past month.

She was born August 9, 1922 in Milwaukee to Roman and Sophie Matuzak Milkowski.  On June 21, 1941 she married Melvin C. Holz at St. Mary’s Parish in Milwaukee.    Living in Milwaukee, raising her family and then in Waukesha for a short time.

Rose was a very active volunteer at Our Lady of Good Hope Parish in Milwaukee, helping out in the rectory, school and lunch program for many years.  She enjoyed socializing with her husband Mel and traveled   domestically and abroad in Japan.  Her husband preceded her in death June 26, 1996.

She is survived by her children James (Peggy) Holz of Amelia Island, Florida, Jeff (Elizabeth “Beth” Schaffner) of Jackson, Wisconsin, Bob (Sandra) Holz of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Anne (Lupe) Alonzo of    Garland, Texas.  Further survived by 17 grandchildren, 10 great     grandchildren, brothers Henry (Isabelle) Mills of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and John “Jack” (Ann) Mills of Washington, D.C., other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by her husband Mel, sister Genevieve Milkowski and brothers Jerome (Lillian) Mills and Roman (Esther) Mills.

Reverend Patrick Wendt will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial 6 pm    Friday, April 17, 2009 at St. Mary’s Church, 430 Johnson Street, Port Washington.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mequon, Wisconsin.  Visitation 4 – 6 pm Friday at Church.

The family extends a special thanks to Cedar Lake Community Nursing and Hospice Care Staff of West Bend for all the loving Care.
