L. Heinen, 91, of West Jefferson Street, Port Washington, Wisconsin died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Harbor Club in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

He was born March 11, 1924 in the Town of Fredonia to John P. and Caroline Weiler Heinen. A lifelong resident of Ozaukee County he graduated from Port Washington High School. He married Ursula Depies at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada on May 4, 1946. Together they operated a farm north of Fredonia for many years. In addition to farming he worked at the former Bolens and Simplicity in Port Washington and Tecumseh in Grafton.

They lived many years on W. Jefferson Street in Port Washington and wintered in Naples, Florida. Ursula preceded him in death January 21, 2005. He had a love of nature and the outdoors and was quick with a smile.

Wilfred is survived by his children Diann Duffy of Naples, Florida, Darlene (Les) Cadmus of Byron, Illinois, Dennis (Kathy) Heinen of Belgium, Wisconsin and Debra (Bill) Kojis of Monona, Wisconsin. He was a proud grandpa of Danielle Duffy, Peter (Kyran) Cadmus, Rob (Kate) Cadmus, Annie Laurie (Peter) Cadmus Galbraith, Ben (Ivory) Heinen, Kimberly (Jason) Heinen Bott, Brittany Heinen, Will Kojis, Charles Kojis, Daniel Kojis and Calvin Kojis; great-grandpa of Mckenna Bott, Kaylee Bott and Darwin Cadmus. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded by his wife Ursula and a sister Evelyn Heinen.

The Reverend Patrick Wendt will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial 6 pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, Wisconsin. Interment parish cemetery. Visitation 4 – 6 pm Friday, July 24 AT CHURCH. Memorials to St. Peter’s Church appreciated.
