Michael T. Harrigan, age 63, formerly of Shorewood, WI, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Samaritan Health Care Center in West Bend where he has resided the past nine years.

He was born on February 11, 1951 in Milwaukee; son of John and Mary D. Connery Harrigan. Mike grew up in Shorewood, attending local schools. For many years, Mike has been afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis. He has lived at numerous care facilities throughout Milwaukee. The staff and people of the Samaritan had been wonderful to Mike, providing not only care, but friendship and support.

When Mike was young, he was active like most. He enjoyed time spent on the water. The Harrigan family would go boating, waterskiing and fishing. He especially liked to fish. Mike worked at Johnson Control Foundry in Milwaukee for a few years until he was no longer able. He appreciated music and had become a fan of Elvis Presley.

Mike is survived by his two daughters Michelle and Shannon Harrigan of Shorewood; his sisters Pat (Carl) D’Amato of Fredonia, Irene Harrigan of Milwaukee and Marion (Larry) Konrath of Hartford; his brothers Tom (Julie) Harrigan of Minneapolis, MN and Dan (Karen) Schroeder of Saukville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service will be celebrated at 6PM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the POOLE FUNERAL HOME/Crematory, 203 N. Wisconsin Street, Port Washington, WI. Deacon Gerry Malueg of Divine Savior Catholic Parish in Fredonia will officiate. Family will receive friends from 5-6PM Thursday prior to the service. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee. Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1120 James Drive, Suite A, Hartland, WI 53029 are appreciated.

  1. Mike was a good friend in high school. Haven’t seen him in many years. So sorry to hear about his passing. All my condolences.
