Olive D. Gerl, 92, of N Montgomery Street, Port Washington died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington.

She was born January 23, 1912 to Jacob Mueller and Amelia Bathke in Saukville, Wisconsin.  When she was eight her mother died and there were many children in the family.  She married Frank “Slim” Klocow of Saukville in December 29, 1945 in Saukville.  On July 2, 1965 he preceded her in death.  She met Raymond Gerl of Kellnersville, Wisconsin and married him on February 16, 1980 in Saukville.  He preceded her in death on November 20, 1994.

She lived in Saukville most of her life.  In 1980 she married Mr. Gerl and moved to Waupaca, Wisconsin.  In 1992 she returned to Ozaukee County, moving to Port Washington.  Over the years Olive held many jobs including, Northern Signal in Saukville and Milwaukee Machine in Mequon until she retired in 1980.  Olive was a charter member of the Women of The Moose, Lodge 1301, Saukville and a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters St. Henretta Court.  She enjoyed bowling after her retirement and played sheepshead or cribbage at the Port Washington and Grafton Senior Centers.  She enjoyed bowling and after retirement probably bowled every day.She loved to bake bread and was very proud of her age, reaching her 90’s.

She is survived by her children Margo (Kennneth) Kraus of Saukville, Marlene (Arthur “Butch”) Schmidt of Fredonia, Tim Klockow of Milwaukee, Ted (Darlene) Klockow of Random Lake and Marla (David) Dickmann of Saukville.  She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, step children Susan (Robert) Marcinkus of Kenosha and Tim (Laneha) Gerl of Bristol, WI, 5 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchild, brother of Jake Mueller of Saukville and sister Victoria Gerl of Port Washington.  She is preceded in death by her husbands, brothers Lawrence, Philip, Bill, Arnold and John, sisters Adela, Viola and Minnie, 2  step children and 5 step grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Karl Acker 7:30 pm Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Church in Saukville.  Interment parish cemetery.  Visitation from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
