Buchholz WilliamJWilliam “Bill” Buchholz, 66, of the town of Belgium, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth where he had been a resident for the past five months.

He was born October 10, 1945 in Port Washington, Wisconsin to Alfred and Eleanore Mueller Buchholz.  He grew up on the family farm and lived there his whole life.  He attended Holy Cross Catholic School and Graduated from Port Washington High School in 1963.

After graduation Bill started to work at Bolens and later at Trak International, both in Port Washington, until the time of their closings.  He then worked for Times Printing in Random Lake, retiring in 2011.  He also worked part time for Mueller Sales and Service in Random Lake for many years.  Bill was a life-long member of Holy Rosary Parish, Holy Cross Chapel and enjoyed going to tractor pulls, stock car races and auctions.

He is survived by his mother Eleanore of Random Lake and sisters Pat Watry of Random Lake and Geri Jacoby of Fredonia.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his father Alfred and brothers-in-law Francis “Fanny” Watry and Roland “Rollie” Jacoby.

The Reverend James Ernster will celebrate Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 pm Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Holy Rosary Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, 5530 Hwy B, Belgium, WI.  Fellowship and visitation will be after the Mass.  Memorials to Holy Rosary Parish and the American Cancer Society in Bill’s name appreciated.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Rocky Knoll for the excellent care and compassion shown to Bill.  They would also like to thank Dr. Tedmond O’Reilly, of Port Washington, for his caring support and guidance, and Dr. Taylor and staff of St. Luke’s Medical for their care while he was a patient there.  A very special thanks to Fr. Jim Ernster for his visits and spiritual support.
